    Default Target Remodel? SuperTarget?

Was in Target for the first time in a while late last night and it appears they are preparing for a remodel. By the size of the tent in the parking lot, the number of shipping containers, the number of scissor lifts, etc it seems like it is going to be pretty major. Any chance they're turning it into a SuperTarget????? It seems plenty big enough, and has that area on the south end that looks like it could be made into another entrance...

I had heard when they originally built this target that it was designed to be turned into a Super Target if it was successful. That would be my bet cause it isn't that old.

This is probably going to be a hybrid Pfresh Target. Similar to what they did on Northwest Expressway and May. Also, the Moore Target has this concept.

Yes, it will be a Pfresh, not a super target. That is what one of the employees said. I used to work there and it was always suppose to turn into a Pfresh.

I think all the Target's in OKC will get the Fresh Grocery Remodel. The only one that may not get it is the store on S. Western. When they did the previous remodel the S. Western store got a watered down version of the May Store's remodel. Personally, I think they are holding out hoping Sears will eventually close and they may build a Super Target there if Walmart does not beat them to it first. I figure Sears has maybe 5 no more then 10 years and they will have to either close or rebuild from the ground up. That store is just too old especially in age where the government is holding commercial properties to certain energy usage standards. A friend of mine works in engineering for INTEGRIS they are in the process of eliminating old electrical fixtures at their hospitals to comply with energy standards.
