One would think that we could use the same incentives that helped lure Boeing to OKC for this proposed plant. Count me as hopeful!
It will probably be located in Texas.
It would likely be closer to better shipping options and closer to where a much larger amount of drilling is occurring.
The oil and NG industry is many times larger in Texas and most of these company’s would want it located close to their operations.
The pipe company should be able to secure more and better contracts before plant construction.
When the price of oil & NG declines they are the types of jobs that go away pretty quickly.
I really hope they choose Oklahoma. This would be just awesome!

One of the world’s largest steel pipe makers has chosen to build its first U.S. plant in Texas, rather than Oklahoma.
A spokesman for Borusan Mannesmann confirmed in an email to The Oklahoman on Monday that it is building its U.S. plant in Baytown, Texas.
