Default White Car Left Scene of Accident- Edmond

My son was run off the road last night into a telephone (Sat, 10 March, 8:00). This occurred west bound on Edmond Rd, west of Santa Fe. Apparently, traffic was stopped in the left lane for left turn into Walgreen drug. A woman driving a white car changed lanes and veered into my sons lane. He ran into a utility poll trying to dodge her. Deployed airbag and nasty hit. He's pretty sore & shaken up. Don't know if car can be repaired.

The woman took off, my son has no comp insurance. He's an engineering student at UCO and holds down 2 jobs.

If anyone can help locate her please post or PM.

    Thanks

I saw the aftermath of the accident on my home last night. Unfortunately I didn't witness the accident or the perp. Your son has a dark Mazda 3 right? The front of the car had a huge gash from the utility pole. The position of his car looked like he was coming from the north end of that strip center parking lot. I thought he maybe lost control exiting the parking lot.

Some of the Edmond intersections have traffic cameras....

Thanks red, it was pretty nasty. when I saw the car I am very grateful he wasn't hurt. Of course he's really proud of the car.

We'll check for cameras but the police didn't think we had much hope.

Perhaps a good semaritan will help us?

good news. No we didn't catch the perp but learned we did have full coverage...........of course we'll probably lose our insurance.....but I didn't want to take a $10k hit if I could help it.

This is one reason I installed a low profile dash cam in my car. I'm actually surprised these are not optional or even standard equipment on some cars. Just put a backup camera on the front. Or, maybe I'm the only one that sees this as a great option for many cars?

I'm pleased for your family that your coverage was more detailed than you realized.

    thanks kev.

I had to redo my insurance, I was afraid I missed it. I am afraid after this, I'll have to do it all over again
