    Default Stimulus funding for transit announced

    And OKC is not getting any of it. It's all going to Tulsa and Lawton.

    Did we even put in for any stimulus funding in OKC? Our bus system desperately needs help, so if we didn't, one would wonder why.

    COTPA in Oklahoma City and CART in Norman were awarded ARRA funds last February. Over $10 million for COTPA, $1.8 million for CART. A portion of COTPA's funding went to Edmond so they could start the new CityLink service.

    It's a capital cost program. While we could always use a new bus or two, our problem is our operating budget. It's tiny.
