The sound volume on NBC (KFOR)

Since about Thursday the sound is nearly zero on the NBC feeds to Ch 4. It is ONLY on the network shows, NBC News, The Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live. On the comedies the laugh lines and sound effects come through loud and clear while the main "mike" is NEARLY totally dead. I have never heard of such a thing. I do have and old TV and the converter box deal (no cable or dish) but I can find no grounds to blame that system because it is so specific AND constant. ANY ideas anyone? Is it NBC, KFOR, my converter, my TV, some combination? Please help if you have a club.

Well i did see yesterday that they were upgrading their control studio or something. When KWTV converted to digital, everyone had to rescan with their converter boxes. Maybe that would help pick up the digital signal again?? IDK?

It started before the change. I was kind of hoping that it would get better last night, but, alas, no such luck. And as I said, it is ONLY on the national shows. Local news is just fine.

And NOW I realize that it is ONLY on shows broadcast LIVE as I just checked and Inside Edition is working just fine right now. ABC and CBS news do work just fine and now I remember having watched a primetime show on Ch 4 and it was alright. So it is narrowed down to LIVE NBC shows. HELP.

My brain is gone; I have no idea why I could not find that when I was looking. Sorry. Thank goodness my wife witnessed the TV problem. I guess I should have had her look for the thread for me. Can I or and admin remove that one?

Never mind. Last night there was no problem. It fixed itself.
