Anyone familiar with Liquid Lawn?

We need a new lawn area installed and were thinking of using Liquid Lawn--the blow on seed, mulch combo often used on commercial properties. Does anyone know if it works, and/or how well it works? It's priced much less than regular sod.

I saw it (or something like it) used about 25 years ago, and that place pretty much had a full-on yard in a week.
