They know that the parents will cart their teenboppers over to Penn & Memorial to drop them off at the babysitter...er...mall, so why bother building in Edmond?

They could use a dollar theater...not that it brings in a lot of economic development, but would still be nice.

I think a nice theater would be great on the north side of Edmond - maybe up by I35. But I think with the Warren coming and the new Quail one we are already saturated.

I'm thinking in about 10 years, the area near NE Edmond (around 35 - Coltrane) will be similar to Penn and Memorial .... IMHO, the demographics can support retail ... and people are moving North East.
