    Barons National Energy M&A Activity

Given how much Energy M&A activity seems to be picking up, I figured it would be worth making a thread for deals involving out of state companies.

The latest announced today is one I definitely have on the Bingo card:

Chevron to buy Hess Corp for $53 billion in latest oil mega-merger

Devon is going to make an acquisition sooner or later.

    CLR probably stays put.

Gulfport gets bought or merged with Ascent.

CHK likely completes the rumored SWN deal.

Diamondback and EOG are likely purchasing someone (both maintain OKC offices).

Sandridge and Riley are somewhat irrelevant.

No idea, don't interact with them too much. They're a weird one. Recently way overpaid for some Permian acreage so they're stretched thin on acquiring, but they don't have A+ assets. Not sure anyone is really beating their door down to buy them.
