Thread: Lake Hefner Golf course

    Default Lake Hefner Golf course

I was out there yesterday hitting a bucket and noticed the buildings weren’t in very good shape and some parts of the clubhouse looked like it was falling apart. Does the city no keep up with the public courses?

They usually do. But right now the focus is on the lincoln park complex. They are slated to get a new clubhouse as well as some other minor improvements. Still no excuse cause I have seen what you have. Nothing a couple of nails and a fresh coat of paint can't help

The bathroom is going to need a lot more than nails and paint. The wood beams on the structure where you get the bucket of balls is rotted out and falling apart.

My memory not being what it once was I could be wrong. But, didn't they move the driving range just a few years ago and built a new building for it. If so it sure is falling apart way too quickly.

There was a $400,000 building permit today to renovate the Lincoln clubhouse and restaurant.

Seems weird to renovate the clubhouse and restaurant when Im told it is supposed to be demolished within a year. Supposedly they are going to build a building near 18th green and driving range that will serve as the clubhouse/pro shop while they demo and build the new one.

Maybe this $400K permit is for the new structure then.

I just assumed it was for the existing one.

The permit says it's only 2,160 square feet, which isn't very big. It also just says "restaurant".
