    Default Forrest Gump

Watched Forrest Gump on TV the other night. It's one of the better movies of all time. What did you guys think about the movie? Should Forrest have waited for Jenny all those years, when she was making a fool of herself?

Would it have been a great movie if he didn't?

Well, it would have certainly been shorter... and the sequel book wouldn't have been as good.

I love this movie too. Yes he should have waited for her because that showed he truly loved her no matter what. She had a rough childhood which let to problems in her adulthood. But Forrest still continued to love and care for her.

Would she have done the same thing for him, had he lived a wild life?

I do not like Forrest Gump. Couldn't run for at least three years wihtout someone opening their big mouth shouting 'Run, Forest, Run!' Could be a variable in our obesity epidemic.

I think it's a great movie. I love the way it weaves history (albeit ridiculously) into Forrest's life. It follows one of those old adages that it's not what happens to a person that counts but how he (she) faces them. Forrest (just like that feather) gets swept up in events, but they don't change who he essentially is.

Forest Gump was overrated. Too much freakin' sap.
