Anytime someone adds "-gate" to the end of a word in order to create an issue, I automatically disregard anything else they have to say about it.
It's related to the adding of "robust" as a modifier of whatever noun--or verb, gerund or adverb--to which it is applied.
Same goes for any statement involving the phrase, "ramp-up."
