An otherwise great concert in OKC was marred by Mayer's decision to not perform his Grammy-Award winning song DAUGHTERS. Three encores - but still no "Daughters." What was he thinking? Obviously, he didn't realize there were many fathers and daughters at the concert to hear him perform that particular song live. What a shame.

Dear God.
Thoughts and prayers to the fathers and daughters that attended this performance.

He sure didn't disappoint this young fan.. came down off the stage at OKC and kissed a fan for her 16th birthday... pretty classy.

Hey, but I understand when you really love a song and want to see it performed live by the artist.. it can be disappointing. I love that song too..

That was nice, Karrie.
For the other two, I didn't say it was Earth shaking or anything, but when people spend top dollar for tickets to see a performance, wouldn't YOU expect to hear the song that won them (in this case- him) a Grammy for? Honestly? It's not like it was one of Mayer's random songs from his career. I mean, come on, the Grammy for song of the year! But not on his playlist for a live concert? SweetnSourPoke, I remember reading your post about attending a Roller Derby game and you being disappointed by the lack of beer (Dear God! Thoughts and prayers with you!). Your snickering at my post shows you obviously have no daughters. One day if you do, you might understand these little things can sometimes mean a lot - and you cherish them.

Sorry WR on behalf of my comments, that's a good point. I'm just a fan of sass.

Kinda felt the same way when we saw Prince a couple years back...Didn't do any of his raunchier (P-Control etc) hits....Awesome concert, but you do come out talking about the stuff they don't do more than what they did do a lot of the time
Worst case was Pearl Jam....They played almost all new and just a couple of their classics....Bad bad concert

Yeah I hate when a band with 3 or 4+ albums does a show and only plays stuff from their new album.
Sure seems weird that he wouldn't play one of his Grammy-winning songs.

That was one of my sister's friends. There's 3 versions of it on youtube. Great publicity for OKC since a lot of people probably don't realize we can support big arena concerts.
