Momentum is January 12 & 13 this year at the Downtown Airpark. IMO, it's the best art party of the year and has been drawing 1500+ the last couple of years. Looks like they're splitting the festivties into two nights, with the first one being more mellow and the second one being the usual party. It's a great way to see Oklahoma's up and coming artists and really shows off the city and state's emerging talent. If you only go to one art event this year or you've been wondering what all this "creative class" talk is about, this is the one to go to.

BDP, thanks for letting us know. For those who haven't been to Momentum, you need to go to one of the hottest art shows around. Also, it's a good chance to snatch up cheap, local art since most of them are up and comers.

No doubt. The sheer number of artists and attendees make it a really unqiue event and better than many I have been to in larger markets. It isn't just your typical gallery opening.

Definately and some of it is really impressive. If you've been wanting to score some truly orginal quality art for your space, but hate gallery hopping, this is a great way to not only get a one-of-a-kind for yourself, but have a great time while browsing.
