Spend your holiday exploring Downtown Oklahoma City during the fifth annual Downtown in December winter celebration. Festivities begin the day after Thanksgiving and run through the New Year. For information, call 1-888-OKC4FUN or log on to Downtown In December (http://www.downtownindecember.com)

The Oklahoman Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
November 24
Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. on Mickey Mantle across from the ballpark

AT&T Snow Tubing at the Brick
Nov. 24 – Dec. 17 Open Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
December 20 - January 1 Open 7 days-a-week, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Last session begins at 8 p.m. each night. Sessions begin on the hour every two hours.
First-come, first-served. $10 per 1 1/2 hour session

The Devon Energy Holiday Parade on the Oklahoma River
Saturday, December 16, Wiley Post Park Parade viewing area opens at 3 p.m.
Entertainment 4 p.m. Fireworks Show 6:30 p.m.

10-15 years ago I don't think any of those things were around.

I don't know about that, because I never got a chance to go snow tubing. If anyone is interested in doing this, you need to get in line early, or you will miss out.

This year we have added an additional lane and additional sessions to make the crowd flow quicker. I'm sorry you were disappointed, everyone I spoke to really enjoyed it.

I was downtown last night and drove up and down the streets. I was impressed! The city is looking so nice for the holidays and I can't help but compare it to the downtown of just 15 years ago and be blown away. Thanks Kim for your part in the resurgence of downtown Oklahoma City.
