Only 29 days left to Country Feverfest. Is anyone else going this year?

Egads! Am I the only country music fan here? I'm sure I've seen other concert posts here.
I know it's not an OKC event but it is a major Oklahoma event. From what I've read and seen, a considerable number of the thirty or so thousand who attend countryfest are from out of state.
It's nice to see that kind of boost to our economy.

I've always wanted to go to it, never had the chance before though. It seems like a pretty huge event. Hope you have fun..

imafish,
It's a blast. We were lucky enough to get 4th row, center stage VIP tickts the year it started and of course, we've hung on to them each year.
It's a well run event. I wish it was closer but it's not a bad drive.
We've booked a room in the past but I think were going to buy a small RV or trailor this year.

sounds like so much fun. maybe i can talk my significant other into going. oh wait that will never happen. he detests country music, even though i think he is really just a closet fan.

imafish, sounds like your boyfriend must like real music.

imafish, if you called my husband a country music fan he would probably deny being one. But, I think he enjoys the concerts and festivals we attend almost as much as I do.

Well I just ordered four tickets for Country Thunder 2007 in Texas. We'll see how this compares to Oklahoma 's Countryfest. The biggest difference I can see so far is the one in Texas is a three day event and Countryfest is a four day event.
Other than that, it seems to be the same type of set up.
Mercy, it will be hot there.

We made it home Monday afternoon, sun burned and sleep deprived but glad we had gone. Travis Tritt, Brooks and Dunn, Joe Nicholas, Chris Cagle and Neil McCoy were awesome.
Carrie Underwood was a disappointment. I hate saying this but she's over rated.
Cross Canadian Ragweed was an enjoyable experience until they gave their let's make pot legal speech.
Jason Boland and the Stragglers were good. My husband liked Shooters Jennings but I hated him. In fact, I walked out during his first song.
Overall, it was a terriific four day festival.

Tickets are $375 a person for a 4 day VIP..... all the best front seats are sold out.

Then you have the seats further back $150 pp for 4 days.. those seats closest to the front are too are pretty well sold out

And General Admission is $110 pp 4 days

$55 for one day.

I thought the prices were reasonable.. I'm not sure I want to deal with the heat the crowds.. I imagine it would be interesting! But, we might go .. hubby loves Gretchen Wilson and Sugarland... now if Keith Urban were there, I'd be there no matter what.

Karried, the VIP tickets are worth it because most of your meals, plus unlimited beer, pop and water are included in the ticket prices. There's also the VIP tent to retreat to if it storms or gets too hot for you.
But, you are right, most of the upfront seats are sold. Still, VIP is better because you don't have to worry about losing your seat.
I need to warn you, if you go, most hotels book up months in advance.

Unlimited beer? I'm so there.. VIP it is.. lol...that is if we go... that's a lot of money.

I imagine the beer runs about Six bucks each.. over four days, that would add up!

Well, if you go, we will see you there. We're on the 4th row in section B. Wave or something.

wow, those are awesome seats! Definitely, if we go, we'll look you up!

I am a little worried about sitting out in the heat for four days... do you have any photos or pics of the grounds? Or the shade? lol

Did you find a hotel or are you camping... ?

How are the crowds? There were some doozies at the Rockfest ( at least the video) !
