As was pointed out to me last night by one of OkcTalk's finest, but who apparently prefers to remain nameless (!), a most excellently fine discussion is going on right now as to e-mail apparently intercepted by one or more persons NOT involved in the communication (I'm not a "wiretap" expert, but I'm pretty sure that's illegal) between OKC lawyer(s) and those in the Hornets' organization. Rather than repeat the possiblly illegal interception (which might be illegal conduct itself), I'll just give you the links for your Sunday morning pleasure!

First, in the pro-New Orleans Horents website: http://www.hornetsreport.com/HRForums/showthread.php?t=31463&page=1&pp=20 where the stuff originally appeared, and,

Second, in the pro-Oklahoma City Hornets website: http://www.hornetscentral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1369

It looks as though there is a NOLA mole (or someone who knows how to be one) in an Oklahoma City lawyer's office! Sooner or later, this ought to be in the papers, at least in the funnies!

Hmmmm ... I just noticed this ... wonder if it fits hand-in-glove within the thread(s) mentioned above ... http://newsok.com/article/1765778/?template=sports/main

Don't be surprised if the game isn't in NOLA. Right now Shinn and company are looking for anyway to stay away from NOLA. I even heard a rumor (not sure if it's true) that the Hornets organization is holding back thousands of tickets just to make attendance look low. They claim they still have 4,000+ tickets left for the games. But, I went on the Ticketmaster website, and you can't buy anything for those games in NOLA. Make me wonder if the rumors are correct.

I just love the wording being used.....

"There's not any reason to think it won't be ready," Thompson said. "There's also not any guarantees. The NBA takes its game presentation very seriously."

I wouldn't be surprised if Shinn himself were the anonymous investor. I can't think of anyone else that really needs to be secretive about their identity.

Hartzog wouldn't have been my choice, but he's new in town, and they have a nice place up-top the BOK tower -- easy to find, and just a short jog away from the Hornets' main office.

Conger, the other founder of that firm now teaches Trial Practice at OCU -- an excellent teacher from what I hear.

Here is another post from the NO website, This is making me belly laugh!!!:LolLolLol

I very highly suggest you speak to the necessary parties that are involved with team equipment, and leave the OKC patches in Oklahoma for the three March games in New Orleans. To put it nicely, it would not be a good idea at all, and the organization is asking for a lot of trouble if the patches are around.

We the fans, expect the team to be referred to as the New Orleans Hornets, not "your hometown Hornets".

We've done our part of the deal by buying tickets, and we demand equity in the situation.

Just a fair warning...

Thank you,

Funny. But, as for me ....

http://www.dougloudenback.com/hornets/machinegun.gif I demand that the OKC patch be enlarged and stuck on the NOLA arena floor. But, that's just me! :spin:
