View Full Version : $10 million to get out of NOLA Patrick 01-28-2006, 07:55 PM Looks like some OKC corporations might be willing to pay the exit fee to get the team here, my sources tell me. Luke 01-28-2006, 11:24 PM I wouldn't be surprised. MidFirst, Kerr-McGee, Devon, Chesapeake and The Oklahoman are all heavy hitters with lotsa dough. They want their employees to have high quality entertainment. $2 million from each corporation is chump change for them. Patrick 01-29-2006, 12:18 AM I've been told that Chesapeake is waiting for a firm committment from the Hornets to stay in OKC for the long haul. They have a blank check available. :) Also, Bob Funk has expressed interest in buying the team, but he wants majority ownership. Clay Bennet would also like a portion. If the Hornets stay here long term, I wonder if Shinn will give a chunk up. |
