OK Oklahoma City, lets start talking rapid transit!

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority has scheduled three public meetings to present the recommendations of the Fixed Guideway Transit System Plan.
The meetings are scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 23 at the McAlpine Center, 400 W. California Ave., Oklahoma City; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Norman Library, 225 N. Webster, Norman; and 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Edmond Library, 10 S. Boulevard, Edmond.
The presentation will include the system plan, the phased implementation plan, capital and operating costs and funding strategies.
"The announcement we plan to make at the community meetings is extremely exciting," said Rick Cain, COTPA administrator. "Though this is only the first phase of many, the future of public transportation in the Metro Area definitely looks bright."
