Friday night, I watched "March of the Penguins" on DVD with a friend.

WOW! What a great movie. It is truly amazing what those creatures go through, just to procreate.

If you haven't seen, I highly recommend it. Another movie similar, but with less "press", is one called "Winged Migration".

It's about the journey birds take to fly south/north for the winter. Also a very nice story.

A friend's 6 year old daughter said it had some pretty sad parts in it. Not sure I want to see penguins suffering and dying. :(

Unfortunately it does contain some harsh realities of nature. Nonetheless, I still highly recommend it. It's very interesting.
