Hopefully we can see more of these type of announcements, as well as additional United service to their other hubs in San Fran, Los Angeles, and Washington Dulles soon! I like the fact that UAL is breaking the hub/spoke mode and giving OKC a chance to possibly become a focus city! :tweeted:

Now just only if we had that United Maintenance facility, this would surely be a no-brainer operation!

LAX would probably be the next "out of the norm" route they would start from OKC. IAD should also happen given OKC is one of the largest cities without nonstop service to the Nation's capital. Expect both on RJs...E-170s if we are lucky.

Trans States I believe is flying this at-risk, so their butt is on the line for the flying, instead of United. The exposure to getting connecting traffic in OKC would be nice, at from an exposure point of view. However, don't expect a lot. United.com keeps pushing people through hubs if they need to connect, and not SAT, OKC, or any of the other newer markets in this. This also includes connections through CLT on US Airways through their code-share.
