They should build a Freeway or Turnpike between Luther and Stillwater at the Cimarron Tpke spur. Along with the south Extension Tpke it would get used.

But I think this would be a good thing. bombermwc 12-19-2024, 07:41 AM That's a heck of a lot of money just to not have to make that little track from 35. Why would we need this? IF they build a north connection for the kickapoo turnpike .. it would serve most of this purpose .. scottk 12-19-2024, 02:51 PM That's a heck of a lot of money just to not have to make that little track from 35. Why would we need this? I am in the same boat here. Is there a need for this? I-35 north of Waterloo tends to thin out with traffic all the way to the Kansas border and HWY 51 into Stillwater is 4 lane and divided almost the entire way. Other than a handful of OSU events where traffic would increase, there isn't a lot of back and forth traffic to Stillwater that isn't already being handled by I-35 efficiently. TornadoKegan 12-19-2024, 06:13 PM I think the Kickapoo turnpike is going to be a secondary loop at some point. Now they could build a northern extension up towards Stillwater |
