According to county records Oklahoma Credit Union has purchased the old Carl’s Jr. This not a huge parcel. My guess is they will build/remodel as an express or micro branch on this site.

They had a branch adjacent to the hospital in Midwest City but lost their lease. They purchased the Carl's Jr. to relocate their branch operations to that building and will renovate it to suit their needs. They are also building a large new central office building on the northwest corner of NE 36th and Lincoln Blvd. bombermwc 12-13-2024, 08:18 AM Renovate? Well I guess Arvest did that on Western before it turned into a Freddys. Personally, i dont think it'd want to go into a bank that looks like an old Carls Jr. It does have the one window that could pretty easily be converted, but come on....doze it and build something purpose-built. True Sky just built their new one across the street. If you're a potential customer, which bank do you want to go to? The one using a 50 year hold Hardees or a new place? A well done renovation will make the building unrecognizable as having been an old fast food joint. And can be cheaper than a scrape off. Brett 01-13-2025, 04:40 PM I was sad to see the Carl's Jr. on Midwest Blvd & Reno closed. I would frequent the restaurant when I was in the area. I knew the building was an old Hardee's and that Carl's Jr. was trying to rid themselves of old buildings. I know the economy is struggling but I truly hope Carl's Jr. finds a new location for a replacement restaurant in Midwest City. |
