This property was recently purchased by Brandon Lodge (8th Street Marketplace and Edmond Icehouse) and it looks like he has plans lined up for commercial along Portland, more hotels abutting the existing river hotels that spread east from Meridian, and housing in between.

There is also a River Cruises landing just to the west.

These are older images but the property to be developed would be to the immediate east of all these hotels and the boat landing.

Exciting project !
It will make more people using the river trails too.
Is this advanced enough or just a developer idea ?

It's about time a plan is laid out for this stretch. When I lived at Waters Edge Apartments from 2013-2016, I would go walking on the river trail, and driving up that stretch of SW 15th all the time, and was always wondering if there would ever be any development along that stretch. Something that would hopefully make the river front pop more. Like amcore said, hopefully this is the planning stage and not just an idea.

I would like to see us build more high density and high rises along the river. It would really bring life to the river, and it would be pretty different from what most cities do in the country. And with offered riverside access, you could see the river really reach a fun apex.

Not near the airport. Lol. More towards city center, sure.

I didn't say skyscrapers. There can still be like a 10-13 story limit.
Then as you go closer to the city center, you can start gradually ramping up. I just think a little more vertical development along the river would be a pretty magical thing to see at night, especially if you have a boat.

I talked to the developer and he said engineering is already underway for the housing, which will actually be long-term stay/corporate housing.

Those may do well there being rentals. The Housing Authority complex just east (Oak Grove) is a little rough and could affect if trying to sell. I tried a murder case out of there over a decade ago. We went to find the other bullet hole in the side of the building and there were many bullet holes to choose from. Hopefully the crime rate has gone down.
