CCOKC 11-14-2024, 09:31 AM The 6:30 start time probably didn't help matters. I noticed a lot of people getting seated just at the tip last night. This team is just so much fun to watch though. You can literally see them getting better before your eyes. I would love to sit courtside for just one game to hear the players on defense. Their switches are almost seamless. I am so glad I get to watch this team in person so I get to see the entire court and not just what is shown on television. The other night, I could not keep my eyes off of Caruso guarding Zubac. Hopefully his injury is not too serious.
dankrutka 11-14-2024, 12:24 PM 2012-2016 I just hate. 2018/2019 was cool.
I do follow a guy on twitter who makes mock jerseys. Most of them are better than what we get.
in 2026 they should lean into Route 66 for a city jersey being the anniversary.

Props to the person for playing with new ideas, but I'm sorry, but this is not a good jersey. I would probably rank this worse than any Thunder jersey from the team.
PhiAlpha 11-14-2024, 12:57 PM Probably the lowest attendance of the year but it was the pelicans. I hope if, and it's a big if, this team loses some games I hope fans don't get discouraged and think this team isn't all that good. This is probably the best Thunder team ever when Healthy. It won't matter what seed we are as long as we are healthy.
Dude no one is concerned about the attendance and I don’t understand your obsession with it at this point. The team isn’t going anywhere and we’re building a billion dollar arena.
We’re on a 6 game home stand over 9 days. People have a lot going on and it’s difficult to give up 6 nights over essentially the span of a week, especially for people with kids. I’ve had trouble making it to all of them this week and I have season tickets (I slipped in for the 4th quarter last night just because I felt dumb living down the street and watching the end of tv after I wrapped up work). Early start time in the middle of the week is an easy one to skip when there are games on the weekend.

What was your percentage increase on tickets this year? I split them with a friend for the last 4 season and this season it went up too much to me to hold on to.

This is my first season as a season ticket holder and we just grabbed two up in the rafters. Couldn’t tell you the increase but ours are $16/ticket and the only tier lower than that is $12/ticket

I know this team is here too stay. I have season tickets also and couldn't make it too all the games either. Just pointing out that one of the best teams in the NBA can't get 80 percent full when it's only $10-$15 to go too a game. It's not a good look. Imagine if we had really bad teams would we be even hitting 10,000 for home games? I'm sure the new arena will be small cause if we not filling this one with 18,000 why would we want anything bigger. Also effect people with season tickets I had to sell my tickets for less than what I paid for so yes it does matter at least too my wallet it does
kukblue1 11-14-2024, 02:14 PM Some of the season tickets prices went up and some went down. My section was $40 for the whole section. The lower half went to $45 and the upper half went to $32 so my season tickets went down in price. There is a map somewhere that shows the prices of tickets.

Some areas went up some went down. Also one last thing on the attendance I sure it's matters right now to the city. Do you build the new arena smaller? If you do what happens in 2040 when there are much more people living in OKC and they are title contenders. Are people going to come on here complaining they can't get tickets and the arena should be bigger? Built it too big and you run the risk of them being really bad and every night you have an arena that looks half empty

Attendance of live sporting events has been down across the board. Especially post Covid. It should be built to near the same capacity as it has now.

That's all really interesting thanks for sharing.
Just_Curious 11-15-2024, 09:39 AM Our tickets went from $300 to $330/ea year over year I think. Entertainment, like everything else in the world will only continue to get more expensive. The Thunder sent out a fairly lengthy survey to ticketholders to gauge what attendees would and would not be willing to pay for in the new arena. They obviously didn't share any of those findings. However in my opinion the subtle messaging was clearly there. Tickets will probably increase by more than the 5-10% people are accustomed to each year. At least when the new arena initially opens.

Did you get the big survey on sports betting? Thunder already looking to partner with a sports betting company as it becomes legal in OK in the next few years.

kukblue1 11-15-2024, 10:25 PM Great win vs the Suns. Yeah they had 3 starters out but any wins without our bigs are great wins. Hartenstein might be back in 2 weeks that would be outstanding. I'm really worried about those teams at the end of the month on the west coast road trip. Kings, Warriors, Lakers. Hartenstein would be very helpful so hopefully he is back in 2 weeks. He was putting up shots pre-game tonight.

Zuplar 11-16-2024, 10:12 AM I’m not sure I fully understand the in season tournament but I like the idea of it. I don’t understand how we got grouped with the teams we did and if that stays the same each year. But I like the idea of enhancing the importance of some games to keep it exciting. I also like the idea of the courts being different so it’s recognizable the moment you flip the game on. With that being said the designs themselves are a little too much for my tastes. The Thunders isn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be, especially in person. I’d be curious how it looked on TV.
Now after I got back from the game I was watching the Warriors and their court is atrocious. That W looks bad over the trophy and the baseline just looks like one big advert.
kukblue1 11-16-2024, 02:17 PM https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/42424658/thunder-signing-branden-carlson-boost-hobbled-frontcourt Did some research on him he doesn't seem all that bad. Dear I say he might take Dieng minutes. 22 last night is 12 minutes is too many IMO.

Frost Bank Arena, San Antonio
TV: TNT/FanDuel Network 8:30 PM
kukblue1 11-17-2024, 10:00 PM The Dallas match up and I would say the Lakers are the reason we got Hartenstein. Fingers crossed he is back in 2 weeks. I would Like too see him back for the 4 game road trip but I would think they would want him to play a home game first. Hate using the word "must win" for games in Nov but the next two Spurs and Trailblazers are two games we can win without a center. If we say Hartenstein is back for the Home game Dec 3rd vs the Jazz that is 6 more games without him. 3-3 I would be totally fine with. Than we have the Jazz at home than road games with two not so great teams in the Raptors and Pelicans. 3 easier teams to get Hartenstein up and going than be ready for the NBA cup. I hope he is back for the first game of the road Trip at the Kings on the 25th but they might want I could also understand why they hold him out a bit longer until that easier stretch.
OKCRealtor 11-18-2024, 07:01 AM The mavs are just a bad matchup, even without Luka they dominated and led wire to wire. I realize we are missing our bigs but going back to playoffs last year they’ve simply got our number. It goes without saying we’ll need to get healthy but hopefully we don’t run into them again in playoffs.

I wouldn't go as far as saying they own us. A 1 point game and 2 4 point games is far from being owned. Sure it's not the best match up but it's the reason why we got Hartenstein and Caruso. Both of them are going to make a huge difference if we meet them in the playoffs.
FighttheGoodFight 11-18-2024, 11:58 AM Not to mention in the playoffs PJ Washington had the greatest three point shooting series of all time against us then never showed up again and they lost the finals. You get unlucky sometimes.
catcherinthewry 11-18-2024, 12:09 PM Washington had been shooting 27% from 3 before last night's game. If he only played against the Thunder he would be a HOFer.

17 rebounds also. Once again why we go Caruso. Chet on Lively, Caruso on PJ, Dort on Luka, SGA on Irving, Jdub on Thompson or PJ and put Caruso on Thompson. Hartenstien, Wallace, Wiggins, Joe for back-up. We will be fine against them.
Laramie 11-19-2024, 12:55 PM Injury Report: Oklahoma City @ San Antonio
Thunder:
Isaiah Joe OUT
Chet Holmgren OUT
Jaylin Williams OUT
Isaiah Hartenstein OUT
Spurs:
Victor Wembanyama DOUBTFUL/He likely won't play in this matchup as he recovers from a tweaked knee.
Jeremy Sochan OUT
Good news, looks like Alex Caruso will be in tonight's line-up; not listed on injury report.
FighttheGoodFight 11-19-2024, 01:10 PM Should be an easy win?
kukblue1 11-19-2024, 01:47 PM Should be an easy win?
If Wemby doesn't play a easy must win. Like I said earlier I don't using must wins this early but these next two games feel that way for me as we might go 0-4 on this upcoming road trip if Hartenstein is a no go. Bank the easy wins until we get a big back.

Anonymous. 11-20-2024, 08:02 AM Yikes, one of the worst losses we have seen in a while. A couple blown layups away from taking that one or sending to OT. But no excuse against that Spurs squad. Expecting a big bounceback W tonight.
I-Hart's return cannot come soon enough.
Just_Curious 11-20-2024, 08:22 AM Yes, last night's game was a brutal watch. And I realize the game has changed. But I don't see any reason the Thunder ever need to shoot 50 plus three pointers in a game. Regardless of whether they are falling. It's painful to watch. And last night they were getting to the rim at will and kicking it out for 3pt attempt time after time. If a guy finds himself with the ball uncontested in the restricted area, take the high percentage shot! Hopefully a bounce back tonight. And then some much needed rest before a tricky little road stretch.
OKCRealtor 11-20-2024, 08:40 AM I'm glad I didn't stay up late last night but yea bad back to back losses with both the Spurs & Mavs missing their superstar and still getting the best of us. Ihart can't get healthy soon enough and hopefully he's a good fit once he gets in the swing of things and we just have to hope Chet can return to form & stay healthy for playoff run. I hope Chet isn't a perpetual injury problem with his size, this is 2/3 seasons now he's had major injury since being drafted. We were very fortunate last year to escape the injury bugs but this year not so much.
Anonymous. 11-20-2024, 10:15 AM His hip fracture was a "wing fracture" - which is the best kind to have to avoid mobility/longevity issues. Anytime you avoid joint-related fractures - that is very good.
kukblue1 11-20-2024, 11:00 AM I wouldn't bank on a win tonight vs Portland. They have bigs unless they are hurt. Honestly This 4 game road trip if Hartenstein is not back 1-3 and that win is going to have to come making shot. We have no rim protection so teams are getting the ball into the paint we are so small we have to come double they kick it out too shooters that are wide open. Can't believe I'm saying this but I miss Giddy. We could use his size right now and Caruso isn't exactly knocking down 3's. I wouldn't be shocked by Dec 1st if we are not around the 6-8 seed in the west. (hope I'm wrong) I hope Hartenstein is not a bust which I don't think he will be. The schedule gets easier in Dec. Sure I think 11 of our next 14 are on the road with the Cup games being filed in but we just have to get through the next 5 and hope Hartenstein is Back Dec 3 if not soon. Once Chet is back and Hartenstein is a good as we think he is we are still the best team in the West
kukblue1 11-20-2024, 04:24 PM Hartenstein might be playing tonight
