Pete,

I obviously can't vouch for anyone else's experience here, but I wanted to mention that over the last, oh, week or two (possibly longer), I've noticed *significantly* increased page load times across multiple different devices (phones, PC's etc), used in different locations and on different networks. Sometime the delays are long enough to the point of seeing what I think are manifestations of timeouts somewhere in the chain.

I know that a lot of websites are necessarily implementing additional layers of security against spambots and other related garbage, so I surely understand if that might be at play here, but either way I thought I would relay the experience and give others a chance to may be offer a "me, too" if they were observing similar behavior.

Regards always,
-David

I have also been experiencing this intermittently, it seems to be most common between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. for whatever reason.

This site has always had intermittent issues for me, also across various devices. It's actually been good lately, but in the past, it wasn't unusual for it to take a long time to laod.

I have a similar problem. I reboot the phone and sometimes that helps. Sometimes not.

I've seen this too, and usually pages finally load, but last week I did actually get a couple of 503 errors.

I'm well aware.

It's due to being hosted on a shared server and being at the mercy of heavy traffic.

Good enough, Pete, just seemed markedly more obvious recently. Just wanted to make you aware. Thanks.

I've noticed it's consistently at a particular time for me (~7-8AM) which leads me to believe it's probably maintenance-related cron tasks. Depending on the host, sometimes those can be configured to reduce interruptions.

It's probably because that's when I get to the office and open a new tab for every topic that has new posts ;)
