Hello,

Does anyone remember a bar named- Casino Club in Midwest City in the 1980's? If so, what happened to it?

Thanks

A Google search shows it was open in 1983 at 3216 Tinker Diagonal.

This aerial is from 1990 and this would have been the location of the Casino Club; not sure if it was still operating at this time.

That entire building is now demolished.

I am pretty sure it was a rave club around 1994ish- Star 7 Discoteque. Went there a few times and was usually discombobulated, so it was fun.

I was in the Purple Palace in MWC a few times when I was in highschool in the late 80's.... Pretty sure I talked to one of the undercover officers that finally got it shut down.

He was asking way too many personal questions to have been there to watch the girls.

Wasn't the Purple Palace on Air Depot just north of 29th street? Whole building was painted purple. Roger S...did you go to MCHS. Class of 85 here

Yes... It was about where the car wash is at the newly remodeled Casey's. They would pretty much let anyone in there and drugs and sex were on the menu if you wanted them. I was mostly in there making a few bucks on the pool tables before we moved over to Bumpers, to hustle the drunks there, but I'm sure the city was glad to see Purple Palace finally be dozed.

We probably passed each other a few times on Air Depot on a Friday or Saturday night... I was Choctaw 87.

What kind of bar was the Casino Club? Was it just a regular bar, pool tables, jukebox, drinks and darts? Also- Live music? The type of business occupied the building next to it that later became Fantasy Island?

Thanks in advance,

Pete- what google search did you do to get the Casino Club info? You must have entered a better search critieria, I google searched and came up with only a note in the Oklahomon that an attorney bought the Delwood Center for $60,000 in 1986.

Attorney Buys Delwood Center

The Delwood Center, 3216 Tinker Diagonal, Del City, has been sold to attorney Charles Shadid by First Liz Ltd. Partnership, a McKinley Properties company.

Purchase price was $60,000 in cash. The two-story brick structure has about 11,396 square feet. It is on a site measuring a little more than a half-acre. The building is on the south side of the Tinker Diagonal, just east of Scott Street.

J.J. Wayne and Mike Box of Harrison Levy Co. handled the sale. BIOG: NAME:

Hello, In the 80's when Casino Club Bar was open, does anyone know what business occupied the large building next to it? This was way before it became " Fantasy Island". Thanks

We had moved to Del city back in '71. There was a bar there, and I don't recall the name but the place was pretty low end.
