OKC will end the season with more national televised games than they started with. They have the potential to really make a statement in the West, I am hoping to see them end up in the 45–48-win range. The West is looking absolutely stacked, if everyone stays healthy, we could have 12-13 teams that should be playoff teams. The East will continue to be a top-heavy conference with plenty of poverty franchises with ****ty owners. This is going to be a very exciting basketball season. I fully expect the team to declare themselves this year.

Good prediction Citywokchinesefood: 45-48 win range. If everyone stays healthy, and Lord knows we've had our hard luck share during what was suppose to be the big roll-out of Chet Holmgren's rookie season.
Thunder finished 40-42, of what was expected to be a 23-59 season.

Chet, the #2 NBA pick in the 2022 draft will make his debut during the 2023-24 season. The team
will be ready with so much competition among team members vying to become a part of the roster.

Mark Daigneault (new contract) will open against former Thunder head coach Billy Donovan as apart of two
road games and a nightmare three home games against Denver, New Orleans and Golden State.

You bet the Thunder will be underdogs in what could be a 0 - 5 start. If the Thunder can win two or three
of those first five games, get ready to Thunder up.

I wouldn't worry too much. If Bally falls through the NBA has said they will pick up the rights to finish any season broadcast. MLB did it for several teams this year. It would be really cool to do it like the Phoenix Suns who will broadcast theirs for free OTA or online.

I remember going to Belle Isle to watch a Thunder game last year and they weren't showing it because Bally's was too expensive to get. I would guess places like Chalk and BWW would show them regardless, but if they weren't with Bally's and it costs less, more places would carry the games.

I also saw HBO (Or MAX) will carry some NBA games. Not sure which ones.

TNT games will be on Max. Ballys streaming is 20 a month. Not terrible if you are avid watcher. I dont have many problems with the app but some do I have heard.

I think that is on the consumer side and it is more expensive on the commercial side. At least that is what I have been told.

What's funny is League Pass is $15/mo on YouTube TV. I'm probably going to get Ballys, but I found it amusing that it's $20 to basically watch one team vs. $15 to watch every other team.

The Utah Jazz just announced Jazz+, a local streaming option with varied cost tiers. There are a handful of other teams with similar offerings. I think this will become the norm going forward. The Bally's app is trash. I think this could be a good thing if organizations will actually put some dollars and effort into their respective platforms.

True. Good point.

You can get League Pass on its own for $99 for the season. I have no idea if YouTube continues to charge the $15 a month the whole year. That would be crazy, but some of these subscriptions can get pretty crazy.

I would much prefer the NBA take up the mantel (seems somewhat likely) or for the Thunder to offer their own streaming option as other teams have started doing this season - as long as they've made the investment/working with a partner to make it reliable (seems less likely). As a YouTube TV-er, have to "borrow" someone's Bally log in as is regardless but anything to better the experience would be nice.

I agree. That would be great and I would certainly pay for that. I had to pause my YouTube TV and do a summertime subscription to Fubo to watch the Rangers games on Bally's. I could stick with Fubo to watch the Thunder but we really prefer the interface of YouTube TV and it's 4K offerings. Oh, and now Sunday Ticket.

good call JRE did in fact get moved .. along with Victor O for kevin porter (who was directly waived and 2 second round picks)

thunder is down to 16 contracts .. (have to go to 15)

Joe and Wiggins are non guarenteed (joe is a lock to make the team)

Jack White would cost 1.8 mil to waive

so it looks like Wiggins vs White for the 15th roster spot ..

unless they trade one of them ..

What are the predictions on regular season win total?

SEMIweather
10-24-2023, 09:14 AM
The over/under on the betting websites seems to be around 44.5 or so. If I had to guess, I would lean towards the under as I think that the Western Conference is going to be much more difficult this season, and it just feels like one final year of really figuring out which players are truly integral to the franchise as their title window really opens up starting next year. I'm thinking it's going to be another season of hovering around .500 and hopefully sneaking into the play-in tournament.
