Vasilije Micic seems to be making the necessary adjustments to the NBA game. Equally impressed with how well-coached Thunder
are. Daigneault adjusts to the strength of his players. Thunder's 8-4 start after 12 games (Home 4-3) and (Away 4-1), more test on the road--finish off a short-handed GSW this Saturday.

Thunder could realistically be 11-4 come this time next week. Which is a better start than I think anyone could have expected. It might be needed too; they've got a pretty brutal stretch of games to close out November and get into December.

Thanks. I think I was confused by the terminology.

But I do agree with kukblue1's analysis. .500 would be good over that span and anything more puts the team in a great position going forward. There's still a development component, but you can tell the focus is becoming more and more about winning now and that's been fun to watch. Their efficiency so far has been way more than I thought possible. They shot 70+% from the field in the first half of the Portland game. It's hard to do that in shootaround.

yeah I got bored after Thanksgiving dinner and researched this a little. I think that article was wrong as the evidence they used to back it up was a snipped from a 2022 high school football program (some easily found info if you just go to the source. Just lazy reporting on their part). She’s a junior and most likely 16 or 17. That’s legal in Oklahoma and though not necessarily relevant, Australia, but not in California where it looks like it might have happened…which is where this could get really bad for him depending on how this played out.

No, you don’t emotionally overreact in the moment and cut him based on a social media freak out. That’s just as dumb as letting him play without consequence for a number of reasons. He needs to be suspended and this needs to be investigated. What if this girl had a fake id and was hanging out in a bar telling everyone she was 21 or something like that and everyone she was with was going along with it? Giddey just turned 21 in October and would be a sophomore or junior in college right now so it’s not like Kevin Durant was hanging around at high school parties or something. At the end of the day the responsibility lies with Giddey to know the law and do his own due diligence if that was the case but acting like he’s a massive pedophile for hanging out with a girl that is 3-4 years younger than him, especially if she was telling him she was over 18, is probably a little extreme without any other context than what some obviously upset person anonymously posted on Twitter.

Not sure how much deeper we need to go beyond “21 year olds shouldn’t be sleeping with high schoolers.” I’d wager that, if we asked people on this forum a week ago if they thought it was acceptable for adults to sleep with high schoolers, nearly 100% would say “no, what the hell is wrong with you.” However, now that impacts the Thunder, people are abandoning their principles in the name of a 6 game winning streak.

Also, I love sports. I go to a half dozen Thunder games a year and the same number of OKC Dodgers games. I’m just not willing to sacrifice my principles in the name of fandom.
