I don't harbor any resentment toward Kevin Durant. He is a great player who made a business decision and doesn't say bad things about OKC. He sure helped us to become a Big League City in an impossibly short time. He was a foundational piece of a franchise that is the envy of the NBA, as it relates to player development and management. I heard JJ Redick and LeBron James rave about the Thunder on the podcast a couple weeks ago. KD in OKC was a great player...any team any era.

Great game last night. Took a bit of time to shake the rust off of Shai and JDub, but the rust did indeed shake off.

^Really fun game. Crowd was into it big time. SGA with a 40 spot. Kings were absolutely on fire early on. The 3rd quarter was impressive by the good guys! And some guy from OCU got a full ride for his MBA!:)

At this point still no clue what is going to happen. What if there is a 4 way tie for 6th 7th 8th and 9th. I'm not even sure who gets the tie breaker. We win the next 2 we have a chance for the 2 seed. Do we want the 2 seed? If there is no chance of the Lakers or Warriors I would almost say yes. Warriors are playing great right now. 16-4 I think last 20 games. Friday game will be interesting. How hard do we go? The Bucks need to go hard but wit out the Greek freak. Dallas will probably sit everyone on Sunday that could be a win evening sitting SGA and Jdub. Suns might be able to beat the Timberwolves as they might be in a must win situation for the 6 seed. So much can still happen

There will be Thunder in the Park before Thunder playoff games. Also gates will be opening 2 hours early. He did not rule out watch parties in the park if we make a deep playoff run. Story was just on news 9. If anyone can find the clip that would be great. They probably don't have it posted yet.

The games tonight might determine if we want to win the next 2 and hope to get the 2 seed or sit players a bit and get the 3 seed. Pelicans win Lakers/Warriors have a chance to move up to 7 seed than you might not want the 2 seed. Kings win could shut both those teams out than you want the 2 going to play one of the Kings/Pelicans/Suns anyway. Update. Pelicans won almost have the 6 seed locked up. 3 way tie at 8,9,10. I think the Kings have the tie breaker over both Warriors and Lakers however they play the Suns tomorrow night. Suns win Kings drop to 9/10. Pelicans play the Warriors. Warriors win Kings loss Warriors are now 8. Lakers can get to 8 if both the Kings and Warriors lose.

Pelicans can be really good but I would probably take my chances over them than the Suns/Warriors/Lakers in 7 game series. Plus on a personal note start times won't be late maybe no 9:30 games. Three seed let's lock it in.

FIRST PLACE. Didn't see the the Nuggets losing. Don't like our matchups as the 1 seed but at this point might as well go for it. Even if you lose in the first or second round you can still look back on the season and say you won the west.

THIS IS CRAZY. For everyone wanting either the Suns or Kings in the first round you might want the 1 seed now. Right now It's Suns/Lakers winner gets 7 seed and I could see Lakers winning that even though it's a road game. Kings/Warriors on Kings home floor. I could see Kings winning that than you have Suns/Kings for the 8 seed. Than again Lakers beat the Pelicans and Suns win Suns 6 seed Oh heck anything can still happen.

The Nuggets loss to the Spurs was wild - Wemby scored 17 points in 3 minutes including 4 3-pointers. They came from 23 down to win. Wemby denied Joker on a defensive stand for the win. Game 82 now matters!

The Thunder are going to beat the Mavs so the 1 seed will come down to Suns-Wolves and Nuggets-Memphis. The Nuggets may decide that they'd rather play OKC in round 2 and tank against Memphis, thus giving the Wolves the 1 seed. I doubt it though. I think it's likely OKC is at 1. We'll see who the opponent is... the West is going to be tough regardless.

Nuggets have everyone questionable for tomorrow. I think we need to cheer for the Suns who actually really need the win. They could get to 6 seed. There is going to be a lot of score board watching and adjustments are going to be made in the 3rd Qtr of games depending on scores. Like if the Timberwolves are up 20 at half and Denver is down 20 I could see OKC playing no one in their second half.

I could see them doing a bit better than 44.5 but that’s probably not far off. The X factor here is that they’re really vibing. I don’t think there’s much chemistry to be worked out. That’s a major head start vs most of the NBA at this time of year. I think they might get off to a hot start. The question will be whether they can maintain that for an entire, grueling season.

I think this team without question makes the first round barring disaster. I don’t know about advancing from there, but stranger things have happened. But I do believe that the statement above is correct; with another season to develop, and maybe with a surgical move or strategic free agent add (it CAN happen), the championship window opens next season.

Like you, Urbanized, my initial prediction was noting less than a 10 game improvement over the 2022-23 season with Chet in full swing. Thunder far exceed expectations over last season.

That first seed in the WC may earn us a date with any one of four teams which will be a tough match-up no matter who we play. Just glad we don't have any major injuries with some players nursing minor injuries. Hopefully everyone will be ready come playoff time.

If we make a deep run they are possibly planning on having watch parties on the stage.

Would be awesome if they took one of the surface lots to the north and made it into something like the Spurs did with their new training facility in NW San Antonio. They have a large permanent screen to show live games, but also movie nights and concerts, food vendors, splash pad, and other things. We just moved to San Antonio last August and they were just finishing it up, but since it's opened it seems like it's always had a great crowd there even when no games are going on.

Even though we finished #1 in the West, the national media is still downplaying the Thunder's ability to make it to the WCF. Stating we are still the underdog due to having an inexperienced young team. Some are picking we won't even make it out the 1st round if we have to face the Lakers or Warriors. Not sure I would bet heavily on the Thunder to win the first round either, if they play the Lakers specifically. I could see the deeply-experienced Warriors winning also, but not as skeered of them as I am of LA's length. If they make it past either of those teams I'd call them a toss-up against most of the rest of the field. People underestimate this team.
