Flood watch is out for majority of the C and S parts of the state. This will be for storms that develop overnight and into Tuesday morning.

We will likely see development after dark directly overhead across C and S OK. Storms will likely be very slow moving, so flood threat is primary threat.

I was just at Grand Lake and wow it is dry out that way. NE OK is way behind on normal rainfall, which is strange because they are usually one of the wetter parts of the state (SE OK being the wettest, and they are also unusually dry). Though this weekends' storm system looks like it will bring some decent rain to that area.

Emily has OKC, Moore, Norman and southeast to Asher getting 3 to 5" of rain tonight. Most other places, little to none. As close by as Guthrie only 01". She also thought it may be slow moving.

Totally agree. And I can't remember the last time my Rachio 12-Zone decided my property needed water. It has been some time now.

About to head off to bed, but looks like initiation just occurred to the NW of Kingfisher. Would think this means OKC stands a decent chance of getting one last round of nighttime convection in a couple of hours before the ridge builds in for a few days.

That stormy area has expanded so much that Stillwater is barely going to be on the edge of it with at least some sprinkles. OKC is going to benefit more from being in the heavier part of it. There are even more storms just to the west and northwest that may hit OKC. Storms just about to enter Oklahoma from KS don't look as widespread or as strong. It will be interesting to see how they turn out later.

Woke up around 2:00 this morning to hail pounding on the roof, crazy lightning, and heavy downpours. I dozed in and out of sleep until 5:30, but I’m sure there were at least four rounds of hail that I heard.

Last of the rain is sliding out of OKC right now. We will have a break until this weekend where it looks like at least one more round of MCS. After that, the ridge of death will build over the area and we will begin to dry out.

Still waiting on data to be updated from today's rainfall, but all regions of the state are on track to be in the top 20 wettest Summer-to now periods on record. The only exception regions are NE & EC OK. The panhandle and WC OK are both over 200% from normal up to this point. Obviously there is still a lot of summer to go, but this has been an outstanding one so far.

Glad to see such a big improvement across the state. Hoping NE OK can get in on some of these summer rains later this week and through the weekend. Since the big storm 3 weeks ago I've only had barely 0.5" of rain at my house in Tulsa. Meanwhile my rent house in Norman has picked up over 8"!

Same here - exactly 2" overnight, bringing the monthly total up to 8.68" at my place. Pretty wild - it's been a little more than 20 years since my family moved back to OK and I don't remember any year in that time where we've gotten this rain in the first half of July.

For early Tuesday morning, Oklahoma became subject to the isolated bullseye in the nation for a heavy rain event. It started out as two separate storms arising in west central Oklahoma. The right one expanded and moved across I-35. As it moved southeast, most of Stillwater got the extreme fringes of it so only sprinkles. OKC got drenched. Meanwhile, the weakened Kansas storms shortly after crossing the Oklahoma border ran into unstable air and reblossomed. Stillwater also got the fringe of this development but not the sprinkles zone. Mesonet has it at 1.21". Just to the south Perkins area got 2 to 3.25". But move east 20 miles to the county border and it got at or nearly 0. All of the Tulsa area got nothing. Unfortunate how most of the northeast quarter of the state has been missing out.

I have a wifi-enabled personal weather station. It's an AmbientWeather WS-2902C and except for a few minor gripes, I've been thoroughly pleased with it. It can publish to AmbientWeather's own data portal, as well as Weather Underground and Weathercloud. My main issues with it are minor - there's no real data logging in the display that comes with the 2902 except for totals, so if your internet drops for any reason then there's a gap in your uploaded data. Also, for some reason, it keeps track of hourly/daily/monthly rainfall totals. but not yearly - instead it tracks an overall total since the last time the totals were reset. I reset the totals on my display on NYE to get around this. The good news is most of Ambient Weather's stations are modular, and you can swap the display for the nice one that comes with the WS-2000/WS-5000 to correct these minor issues (or you can buy one of those kits to begin with instead). There's also a number of additional sensors that are compatible with these systems, like air quality monitors, lightning detectors, pool temperature sensors, soil moisture sensors for the garden, and the like - and a large community of owners who love to tinker with these stations too. It blows my old La Crosse weather station out of the water, frankly.

This is the public dashboard for my station on the Ambient Weather Network: https://ambientweather.net/dashboard/83169cf33cf334e2a018ad32fed108ff/tiles

The east side of Stillwater benefitted a bit from sprinkles from a weak thundershower that developed overhead. It will be interesting to see how far the rain now in western panhandle can penetrate into Oklahoma later on.

Only 3/4" here last night. Judging by the sound I was expecting to find more in the rain gauge this morning. I really don't need any more rain. It would suit me just fine to go 2-3 weeks with zero rain to dry things out a little and slow down the mowing.

9" in the last 6 days on top of all the rain the previous 2 months at my location I think is enough for a while. You reach a point where it is no longer beneficial and just contributes to problems. All this water in the ground has to be contributing to the record high heat indexes too. Highest heat index ever recorded in the state yesterday and the actual temperature wasn't that high compared to the HI. And probably more coming tonight.

Two MDs out for all of N OK.

1. To the NE, current MCS originally from Nebraska will be entering the state in about an hour. SVR watch likely coming for I-35 corridor and all areas NE.

2. Next MD is for PH area into NW OK, where cumulus field has been gathering ahead of outflow boundary coming out of the MCS across KS. This boundary will spark additional storms across this area, which will then move SE. This development is more iffy, and may not get going until later this evening when storms come out of NM and the TX PH.

A scenario does exist where storms go E and W of C OK. However, radar trends as of about 4:45pm show healthy back-building development on the W end of the MCS. Which would indicate C OK impacts later this evening.

I will say, there is some organized supercell structures within the cluster currently, which would lend to pockets of hail.
