Does anyone know what the plans are for the Latinos Supermarket shopping center? (4223 NW 10th St - ish)

Latinos closed down right around the beginning of Covid (I heard for remodeling) but never reopened.

There was then a fire on the north-west corner of the shopping center. Then a fire in the north east corner. Then another fire in the north east corner. The whole shopping center was then encircled with a chain-link fence.

Just recently in the last couple weeks, the east side of the shopping center was demolished up to the supermarket wall.

Any idea of further plans, what caused the multiple fires, etc.?

The plan is to rebuild most the shopping center and lease it out.

Name is Centro Fiesta Grande.

Looks like this will be the supermarket: http://www.laferialatina.com/ They have two locations: NW 23rd & Ann Arbor and 1645 SW 47th.

Awesome! Thanks.

I am glad it will come back as a Grocery Store. There really isn't another one in like a mile radius around that location. There are may a couple little bodega-like places, but no actual grocer.

IIRC this was the original Hobby Lobby store site.

IIRC this was the original Hobby Lobby store site.

I think the NE corner of NW23rd & Walker was the original original. This location was pretty early in the process, however.
