This is entirely from memory, so you guys can help me figure out which is kicking in - the Prevagen or the mushrooms.
Around 1980 Whiskey RIver was a large nightclub on NE 23rd a few miles east of I-35. Not sure if it lasted a year. Months after it closed there were a group of reporters at the Oklahoma County Courthouse covering the Rita Silk Nauni (sp? pronounced no-nye) trial. A very big story for the time. During a break, the reporters gathered in the hallway notice Jerry Lee Lewis walk out of an adjoining courtroom. It was learned that Lewis had done a great job of keeping everything on the QT until that moment, but he had been sued by the Whiskey River owners. He had failed to show for a contracted appearance and the marketing expenses plus loss of revenue from the show had forced the club out of business. They were suing for over $40,000 and had won a summary judgement when Lewis had not responded. Lewis was at a hearing on his appeal when he was discovered.
Anyone recall any of this?
