Does anyone know whats going on with the area next to auto zone on sw 59th and May? I never let my hopes get to high that some decent is actually coming to this side of town but a girl can dream for a Dairy Queen right?

But what? Why is your post so negative? Are you against this?

I mean I said I love books and yeah libraries but am I disappointed its not something new that Id like to see developing the area, yes. But I don't think that's being negative. Or I don't meant it to be.

Warren Buffett spends 80% of his day reading, so do many rich people. More people love reading will help bring more developments.

You should check out the renderings of this proposed library. It will be a very beautiful building.

The shopping center housings were always meant to be temporary while a new building was constructed. Bethany's library was in an old shopping center while their new building was going up. I grew up in the Almonte area (mom still lives there) and a fresh new library building will be a nice addition to the neighborhood.
