Del Taco has permanently closed their location in Edmond on 2nd Street by Target and WalMart Neighborhood Market.

They had been there for a while with a new store that was built over Alvarado's.
Guessing they saw a huge drop in lunch traffic with covid and less UCO students physically on campus the last few years?
Supposedly this location is being converted into a Dutch Bros Coffee.

Used the eat there a lot in the beginning. Not so much last few years. There was never anyone in there and it always took forever if you didn't go through the drive thru. They have no one to blame for themselves with that location. They never advertised or did anything else to let people know they were there.

There was at least one time they asked me to pull forward and I sat there for ten minutes despite there being no one ahead of me or no one behind me. Del Taco is my favorite of the fast food Mexican options, but their service has fallen off a cliff lately and not just the Edmond one. The one off of 63rd and May was pretty bad the last time I was there too, and they used to be one of the faster places period. Eliminating a lot of the good options on their value menu hasn't helped either.

Man, the last time I went to 63rd and May it was DREADFUL. I swore off that location.
I spent a load of time at the Edmond location when I was at UCO. Being right off campus and cheap made it an ideal lunch between classes, and I even got some studying done there. That was years back, so they've had plenty of time to fall off like 63rd has.
I haven't had a bad experience at Reno and MacArthur yet, though. *knock on wood*
