Being planned by ODOT right by Deer Creek HS.

Looks like they have already installed one at Meridian & Covell.

What is honestly the point with these in these areas? There is not enough traffic to warrant this. If they are concerned about running stop signs there are better ways to do this.

Maybe they anticipate future growth in that area. Roundabouts are fantastic, when done correctly.

I drive up there occasionally to get my RV out of storage, and it seems like every time I go up there's a new plot of land cleared for suburb development.

Or maybe they are being proactive. Deer Creek is growing insanely fast.

Why is this ODOT instead of OKC? Just curious

Not in city limits?

Yes, OKC city limits stop 3 miles to the south at 164th. Pretty sure this area is unincorporated.

Deer Creek is a school district but not a municipality.

Even with little traffic they are much more convenient and safer. Why stop when you dont have to, regardless of traffic.

Actually a relief that NW 206th is not in OKC city limits

They are asking for trouble with those driveways on the NW quadrant. They are too close to the roundabout. There will be some fender benders there.

Yeah, we need a lot more more of these all over the 'burbs. I'm glad ODOT is starting to expand their thought processes and installing "new" innovations. I really wish Edmond would take some notes and stop adding lights everywhere.
