I've been on here since before I moved to Oklahoma City in 2013 and I can't remember a time when so many apartment buildings and complexes were planned or actively construction across the metro. I'd like to know how many individual apartments it is. It has to be thousands. Wecertainly need it,

Unfortunately, they can't build them fast enough to accommodate the city's growth.

Yep. The same goes with houses. Every time I'm over by Lake Overholser I look for any sign they're getting ready to build those two huge housing additions, but nothing yet. Lumber prices have fallen quite a bit, so hopefully that'll bring down the costs of new houses

At least thinking of the big projects at least check and not smaller infill stuff, though I may be missing some:

Edited: (Thanks Pete!)

Alley's End: 278 units
Thrive: 316 units
Boulevard Place: 265
700 West: 302 units
OAK: 320 units
Canton: 326 units (if rebuilt in the same way)
The Spaniard: 27 units

Planned:
NW 4th & Shartel: 247 units
Bricktown complex: 150 units
Classen Marquette: 60 units
Nova: 20 units
Pasteur Flats: 78 units
101 Broadway: ?? units
The Hill: 66 (?) units

So at least 1,834 units planned to be built or re-built soon (fingers crossed), and at least another 621 announced and/or planned beyond that.

Thanks! I did a cursory search but knew you'd have the latest scoop. Will edit accordingly... hard to keep track of it all! Really hoping they all get off the ground soon with all the delays.

Cool. That doesn't even include the apartments planned for over by Crest and on 10th Street, the complex on Rt 66/Kilpatrick Turnpike, or a number of others, so yeah probably a few thousand.

What happened to that relatively big project that was proposed on like Portland and 192nd or something like that? It was going to be several hundred units, right?

They were supposed to be row homes but unfortunately it seems dead. Typical neighborhood NIMBYs whined about it not fitting in with the area.

The row homes?

Appears to be a new complex. Permit search shows 32 separate buildings have been filed. Not sure of the number of total units.
