On closer inspection, I believe the restaurant on the west end will be a Neighborhood Jam.

SouthSide 05-17-2022, 03:15 PM Happy to see a new restaurant to try. I do wish it was more interesting than another strip mall.

I'm fine with it. There's a lot of land to develop there
This placement tells me Neighborhood Jam will probably do a Moore site as well.
Tavia 05-18-2022, 06:39 AM This is a great addition to south OKC!
Martin 02-20-2023, 08:31 AM just yesterday (2/19), i noticed an earth mover parked on this property... work on this site might be about to begin.

I did in fact.
But I keep a long list on my phone and try and visit pretty much every active development around town, from Yukon to Choctaw (was there just last week) to Norman to Guthrie.

i do admire your dedication. if you ever want to save a trip for anything in southwest okc, i'd be happy to snap some pics for you.
Thanks very much.
I don't mean to sound like a martyr because I love going out and checking on things. It's very rewarding to actually be able to document all the progress and see it with your own eyes. I always find it uplifting.

I moved to this area when May Ave south of SW89th was a dirt road and SW 104th was a pothole-filled road that nobody liked to use except the people in my neighborhood (Original Lake Ridge when it was small). I loved this area because it had a rural feel but only minutes to grocery, movies, etc. I moved to the neighborhood next-door after Lake Ridge began to grow. I appreciate the need for growth and development but I miss the quietness and rural feel this area used to have.
^
The restaurant will be Neighborhood Jam (popular breakfast and lunch spot).

That reminds me of a time when I moved to Mustang over 50 years ago. Every person who moved there hoped they were the last ones. It just doesn't work that way.

When my family bought a house off 63rd west of Meridian in 1963, we were just about the farthest home north or west.
We could stand in our yard and see Lake Hefner.

I'd love to see some old pictures of that area and the city in general

Those were not available otherwise I would have included them.

I wish digital cameras then were like they are now. I would have taken heaps of photos that would have shown how OKC has changed but back in the day when you had to have everything developed it just wasn't so easy.
Shortsyeararound 07-26-2023, 10:55 PM I love the development of this corner as my parents have lived in Southridge since 1984. The corner and fields (apts there) when I was growing up were all bike trails nicknamed “The Trails”. Nothing like that these days.

Pete - any news if Neighborhood Jam is still the anchor tenant here?

Is there any reason to believe they won't be?
The NJ in Czech Hall Marketplace has been moving slow too, and I suspect it's just a hiring/training issue as Hal Smith has been opening a lot of new restaurants.

Just the typical rumor mill, some saying the Pub W down the street will be relocating to this building instead. Doesn't make any sense to me.

It's possible but I haven't heard anything about it. Hal Smith often swaps out concepts.
Fuzzy's is taking the east end of this property:

Martin 04-05-2024, 12:43 PM they're getting pretty close to finishing up the exterior... last i saw, brick is up about 3/4 of the way to the top. i'm really happy that it's not mostly eifs.
jdg78 04-05-2024, 08:20 PM I am really excited the Social Order group is investing down here. I think they will kill it and hope this is the start of more local proprietors looking in this area.
I am hearing another local proprietor with a well regarded breakfast concept is looking as well.
Martin 04-08-2024, 02:11 PM i had a chance to snap a pic on saturday... looks like most of the brickwork is up:

Martin 09-22-2024, 01:10 PM progress for this has been super slow. i did notice today that signs for fuzzy's are up on the east portion of this strip center.

Yeah, I wonder what the hold up has been. My parents can see it from their house and they've commented several times that no one is ever working on it. Also, do we know anything else going in besides Fuzzy's and Neighborhood Jam?
btmec 11-02-2024, 02:35 AM I saw that Fuzzy's Tacos is going in on the east end. They have the signs up and they already have seats put in. It will be some competition for Qdoba.
Zuplar 11-07-2024, 11:04 AM There is a sign up for Firehouse Subs, I'm very happy about this get.
SoonerDave 11-07-2024, 06:59 PM Yeah that one was unexpected
