Casting agency quits in Atlanta. Says Sly was disparaging.

It demonstrates how much filming is done in Georgia if an Atlanta-based casting agency can choose to walk away from a hit TV show.

I really wasn't even sure if they were producing a second season. This may be the only thing I've heard about it since the move to Atlanta.

Not sure if there's just a generic "OKC Film" thread so I figured I would mention it here: https://www.oklahoman.com/story/entertainment/2024/04/09/new-proposed-oklahoma-film-incentive-focuses-on-live-episodic-television/73116936007/

According to this there's a push to add an incentive to make live studio audience type shows like sitcoms and game shows. Since, like with everything, Texas will start outcompeting Oklahoma. Seems...interesting? Sitcoms still exist?

Tulsa King totally lost my interest since they left town.

Yeah, it was awesome to see OKC featured prominently in a show, but that was really what kept me watching.

I'm still interested in the storyline... but I agree, my level of interest has dropped considerably since they decided not to film here.

Looks like they'll be filming in Tulsa next week for season 2. Just exterior and establishing shots I would guess.

They were downtown today filming what looked like actual outdoor scenes. Sterlin Harjo’s new show has been filming as well.

Tulsa article said none of the main characters would be in Tulsa so yes, it's just scenery. Its being filmed in Georgia.

Wide shots without actors in close up are shot in OK, everything else in GA. I watched the new episode, but could tell the differences in camera framing compared to last year.

So I just got back from a trip to Scotland and Tulsa King advertising was everywhere. In fact, since there's not much outdoor advertising space in Scotland in general, it was just about the only thing I noticed being advertised! I guess it must be a big hit there.

I just started on the new season and like some of you, it just doesn't hold my interest as much as it did when it was filmed in OKC. I would get texts from friends telling me "They're shooting in Film Row" and if I couldn't get down there, it's something that I would look for in the finished episode. I'm seeing a lot more Tulsa stock footage than the first season and really nothing from OKC except for a few outside shots of the bar on Newcastle Road. It was great fun while it lasted.

It was mediocre at best with the OKC angle.

Now, I have no interest whatsoever.
