catcherinthewry 04-07-2022, 08:00 AM I can't wait for this place to open. I got a sneak preview of their menu last night at the event at the First National Center. I got to try their meatballs, lasagna and eggplant parmesan. All three were excellent. They also had some very tasty hors d'oeuvres but I'm not sure they are going to be on the menu.
Their prices seem pretty reasonable considering the setting and the huge amount of money spent.
It's now at the top of my list for visitors and business meetings.
Besides it being spectacular and unique, OKC doesn't have that many nice bars.
Urbanized 04-07-2022, 08:26 AM Fortunate enough to eat there twice last week, and for me the headline was the yellowfin tuna. It was equal to any prime steak I’ve enjoyed in recent memory.
Regarding last night’s event, it was great to see so many familiar faces who I haven’t been able to visit with in what seems like forever. Really looking forward to the bar at Tellers being a great place to reconnect with some of my favorite people in OKC. FNC is truly a gift to our city.
dcsooner 04-07-2022, 03:32 PM My reading of the comments lead me to believe this property would match any similar property in NY,SF, Miami or any other major metro. For anyone who has already visited the space, is my assessment on point?

Yes.
Of Sound Mind 04-07-2022, 04:34 PM We have reservations for Sunday evening. I've had the privilege of touring the space twice in the last couple weeks and I can't wait to show it to my dinner party.
Bowser214 04-07-2022, 06:31 PM Stunning!

Hands down would match or exceed most comparable properties anywhere in the country.
shawnw 04-07-2022, 10:50 PM Walked in tonight. They said reservations only, which was understandable. We sat at the bar, ordered food. But hardly anybody was at the tables.
Timshel 04-18-2022, 10:22 AM Went to dinner on Thursday. Everything was good to very good. Looking forward to trying the pizzas which look amazing. Seems a bit incongruous to serve some informal food in such a formal setting, but actually think it's a pretty smart idea to draw more folks in rather than just being seen as a purely "special occasion" place. Hoping they find some additional bartenders, as the service the couple of times I've been in has been extremely slow - but once the bartenders have gotten to me they've been great - just hard to effectively serve the bar, full common spaces, and a full restaurant with only three bartenders. Assume they'll adjust and it's still very much the early days so not to concerned, but would be my only "knock" so far.

did you eat at the bar?? if so you didn't eat at "tellers" you had dinner at "The Great Hall"
Timshel 04-18-2022, 11:19 AM ? Have had drinks at the bar. Ate at Tellers. The bar serves the exact same menu as Tellers (and is actually the "Tellers" menu and not "The Great Hall" menu) and the bar does drink service for Tellers (which is why an overworked bar staff affects Tellers, not just "The Great Hall") You do get a more expansive wine list at Tellers, though I imagine you could ask for the same list while sitting at the bar. They may plan on changing it in the future (would personally welcome a second bar menu down the road), but today for all intents and purposes it's all part of the same "restaurant," just whether you want to sit at the bar without a reservation or have a seated waiter service with a reservation a few feet away among the teller windows (which was pretty cool).
So that being said, as Shawnw said above, if you're unable to get a reservation you can go there and eat at the bar and have a very similar experience, which I'd highly recommend!
Urbanized 04-18-2022, 03:11 PM There really are quite a few very reasonable selections from a cost standpoint. And I suspect the reason for this is that at the end of the day Tellers is still a primary restaurant for a publicly-bookable hotel, albeit a pretty luxurious hotel. I think they have done a nice job of mixing moderately-priced, accessible selections with more upscale options.
Timshel 04-18-2022, 04:44 PM Agreed. Even some of the "nicer" options seem very reasonable. A 24 oz Ribeye - which could easily be split between 2-4 people - for $58 seems like great value. Don't know how the quality/grade of the meat compares (and I haven't had steak at Tellers yet), but for comparison's sake an 18 oz ribeye at Red Prime is $62 and a 16oz is $62 at Broadway 10. And the 22oz prime bone in ribeye at Bob's is $74.
okatty 08-29-2022, 12:10 PM I’m curious about recent views/experiences at Tellers. We went for the first time Friday night. The space and atmosphere were great, and we overall enjoyed the evening just because it was totally new.
But, unfortunately, we all gave the food pretty low ratings especially the pasta dishes. And to me it is on the expensive side - 4 cocktails, 2 apps, 4 entrees and 2 sides (no steak or desert) tipped the scales at just under $300. Maybe that would have been fine had it been really good - but it wasn’t. Service was OK - pretty long delay from the time we were seated to ever seeing wait staff, long delay getting drinks, but once order was placed it moved along fine.
We’ll go again and maybe just do salad and a pizza. And I hope others have had better experiences with their food.

You describe my experience as well. The beauty of the place is without question. But the quality of food is lacking. Hopefully, things will only improve.

That mirrors my experience. (Be careful, I was boo'd for it on here. :) )
Hope they worked out some of the sound issues.
Mississippi Blues 08-29-2022, 04:08 PM I’ve been three times over the past few months, once for my anniversary, another for my Grandparents anniversary, (sat in the Great Hall due to our large party but ate from the Tellers menu) and last week while my sister-in-laws were visiting. So far everyone has seemed to like the food but everyone mostly notes the setting and overall atmosphere of everything, which is arguably my favorite in all of Oklahoma.
I will say, the first two times we didn’t have any complaints but last week the service was irritatingly slow, the server seemed uninterested if not rude, and the food wasn’t as enjoyable as the other times. It was around 8:30 on a Wednesday night so my instinct was to attribute it to that but it was very noticeable how subpar everything was.
Timshel 08-29-2022, 04:25 PM We had a good experience when we went just after opening but have heard a number of complaints that mirror the last few posts recently.

Ditto. Great venue. Average food.
borchard 08-31-2022, 12:20 PM I have been there twice for breakfast and had good experiences and food both times
jccouger 09-01-2022, 02:47 PM I got the Tuna after urbanized glowing review and I thought it was fantastic.
The service was just ok, but that's just 2022 for ya. Hard to find servers right now. The managers that came by were really nice though.
