Hope they consider renaming the center since the Blazers moved to Arctic Edge about 3 seasons ago.

I've gotta like any league that calls their championship the Robertson Cup!

That's not the BLAZERS team the rink was named for.

But it was the last Blazers team to use that facility.

Does anyone know who owns the Blazers Ice Centre? OKC?

Don Young is listed as the current Principal of the rink but here's an article from 96 with Doug Sauter talking about Crossroads Ice Arena (Blazers Ice Center) and Planet Ice (Arctic Edge) being built by another group.

https://www.oklahoman.com/story/news/1996/04/24/two-city-ice-rinks-to-be-built-developers-respond-to-ice-time-demand/62357417007/

The article goes on to mention other facilities to have been built (roller hockey & indoor soccer) at that location also but unfortunately those plans were never followed through with.

Too bad they are not in the ECHL so the Tulsa-OKC rivalry could be resurrected

Oklahoma Warriors play at home Fri Sat Sun. They play a fast paced skill based style. Currently in 1st place in 29 team league.

Boy, those TX and LA teams bring in the crowds. We are not too bad for 606 out of a max of 750. I haven't been to a game, are they pretty enjoyable?

What a sad deal. How can anyone get excited for this silliness.

Bumped into a former Blazers player recently (there's quite a few around) and we were basically talking about how the team owners just killed the old CHL. So many teams......Oklahoma City, Amarillo, Corpus, Ft Worth, Shreveport, Odessa, etc.....just shut it down and transitioned to junior hockey all so they wouldn't have to pay the players or housing. Stinks for the fans.

Got to hand it to Wichita and Tulsa for hanging in there and sticking with pro hockey after all these years. Good for them.

Its easy to get excited if you prefer more hockey and less wrestling.
Sticks are used for passing and shooting rather than slashing and crosschecking.
OKC has 8 on roster with NCAA Div 1 scholarships
