I suspect there will be more than just a Chick Fil A, as that property is over 7 acres.

But the only thing I've seen come through on planning/permitting was the CFA.

The plan is for a large commercial development called Deercrest Marketplace. Walmart has purchased the property in the middle for a super center, however, they have yet to move forward.

Taco Casa just filed a building permit for this parcel (SW corner of Rockwell & Memorial) alongside Chick-Fil-A.

Technically yes, the Taco Casa with a Yukon address is in OKC limits. I consider it being in Yukon as the north side of NW 10th is "real" Yukon.

Holy Parking Batman!!

Is this going to (eventually) serve another restaurant or portion of development? 80 parking spots for Chick-fil-a and if that's ever full they're probably starting to serve beer and chicken wings on Sundays in the fall.

That last row of parking cornering right at the drive thru entrance seems like a bad idea and a recipe for some disagreements about who is next in line.

I’d say open within 3 months. They had some kind of prefab walls that tilted up. So framing and brick all went up together. They now have to put on roof and windows and built out interior. So I expect open by spring.

Wal Mart will build it when they decide it is needed. They still own the land as well as land for a fuel station.

^Under the original deal they had, WM has to commence construction within a certain number of years. I am not sure if that has been amended or modified since it was originally signed. I know as of a couple of years ago that was the situation as I had a client who had inquired about it and was provided that info.

I don't think there are enough bars and nightclubs in the area to support a Waffle House... are there plans for any clubs in the area (especially without Baker's Street down the road)?

I'm still trying to get over the fact that people go to WH sober... I just never heard of going otherwise. Sorry.

We have friends who used to run a photography booth at the Norman Medieval Fair. On Sunday night after the fair closed, we had to break down the booth, which was a pretty long process. After it was done, we would go to the WH on Interstate Drive for a post-fair breakfast dinner. They were picked for 2 reasons: (1) We knew that, no matter how long the teardown took, they would be open, and (2) those friends live in Wichita, which doesn't have a WH, so it was more of a treat for them.

As an added bonus....it will probably be a more accurate way to track the weather near SW Rockwell and Memorial.
