Shawnee is often left out of the discussion when it comes to Oklahoma City’s growth. I suspect they are ripe to see growth. Oklahoma needs to invest in the infrastructure in Shawnee, particularly converting the semi quasi freeways into actual freeways. They also should at least plan for a commuter rail line into the city.

Heck, yeah! Shawnee surely has even more potential for heavy growth in the future than Stillwater, since Shawnee is closer to Oklahoma City and is just off I-40. Maybe that's why Shawnee has more Sonics than Stillwater. 5 Sonics vs only 3 for Stillwater. After all, college towns, like Stillwater, face population decline, with Stillwater most vulnerable, if online classes become popular and maybe even cheaper, even though covid may be on its way out. Furthermore, Stillwater from having passenger jet service to DFW since 2016 certainly hasn't worked at all to attract major industry there. So, people shouldn't be surprised if population growth in Shawnee outpaces Stillwater's during the decade of the 2020's. Who knows how much more potential Shawnee has!!

Shawnee has some nice industrial and manufacturing tenants north of I-40. Exxon is there, Eaton, and quite a few others.
