They have bought the land just east of Main Event and are planning an ambitious 2-story building with a large bar and outdoor deck facing Memorial on the 2nd level. The building to the north is Blue Pearl Vet.

The wife absolutely loves Hibachi and having made the rounds to most of them in OK the last year or two, Meiji in MWC consistently comes out near the top for us.

Construction on this seems to have stalled. They completed the foundation a month or two ago and haven't advanced beyond that. Contrast this to Chuy's across the the turnpike which went from dirt work to a fully enclosed structure in two months.

There is a banner on the building that says Surge bar and lounge coming soon. Does the bar area go by a different name? The original MeiJi sign is still up.

I believe that is what they are calling their rooftop bar, which will be huge.

The MWC hibachi is actually one of the better hibachi places we've been to as far as taste and entertaining cooks.
