View Full Version : Rose Creek Plaza
PaddyShack 01-10-2023, 03:16 PM Crazy so close to Chisholm Creek sidecar and hatch. They plan to keep those locations too? I feel like another hatch will be great but can the area sustain another sidecar? Not to mention another coming to east Edmond
This location is probably easier to get in and out of than Chisholm Creek for a lot of northerners... So it makes sense to me. My mother lives near Edmond Santa Fe, so we will most likely frequent this location over the other locations.
April in the Plaza 01-10-2023, 10:45 PM It's also a big win for people who use the downtown locations.
Not necessarily

Yep.
They've already filed their signage permits. Looks like it will be the first thing completed here.
corwin1968 03-30-2023, 02:21 PM Construction on the Homeland is well underway, with the shell of the building being close to complete. It's a lot bigger than I expected it to be, but I have no experience with their new store designs. As a former (7.5 years) Homeland employee, I am looking forward to this one.

I'll get out there soon with my drone.
corwin1968 04-06-2023, 05:32 PM There is an Asian grocery store going into the strip mall across May from Rose Creek. It looks like it might be as many as three units, which would be awesome. Anyone have any insider information on who is opening this?
Drove up and got a better look:

The Homeland is nearing completion.

Nothing yet apart from Broadway 10, Sidecar and Hatch.

Anonymous. 05-04-2023, 09:43 AM I had no idea Rose Creek had a community pool. I am too poor to ever live in a gated community, so maybe it is common. I just find that interesting considering so many homes have private pools.

Gailardia has one as well. I’m sure it more for a social aspect. They might have their own pools but then have the community association/club pool they can go to

A pool with a large twisty slide.

Just to clarify for those who are not near that area, the outside walls and roof are nearing completion. The interior has only progressed to building structural elements and still has a very long way to go.

The East side of Valencia has a community pool and from what I've heard, the residents on that side pay quite a premium in HOA fees for that pool. No thanks!
OkieBerto 05-04-2023, 10:48 AM At the Greens Country Club when I worked there they had a special with the HOA for the neighborhood. Anyone who was a member of the HOA and paid their dues had a pool membership at the Country Club. Rose Creek is very similar when it comes to being a neighborhood that surrounds the club. Just makes sense to allow HOA members access to the Club pool. You can see they also have lanes for doing laps. We had a kid's swim team and would compete against other country clubs.

that is the Neighbor hood pool only it has nothing to do with the golf course Rose Creek Golf Club ..

This is correct. That pool is for neighborhood residents only. It is not part of the golf club. The pool is also fairly well separated from the homeland and this development. The surrounding homes and pool sit up higher and are separated by a large privacy fence and retaining wall where on the other side the homeland sits quite a bit lower.

Aquatic fees and HOA fees are separate. Pool and fitness are managed by ICM along with the golf course. You can be current on HOA fees but not have access to pool and fitness. Yes, you have to be a resident within the HOA but you also have to pay the fees.

I haven't seen any building permit applications.
soonerguru 05-29-2023, 11:42 AM That is an ocean of asphalt.
scottk 05-30-2023, 05:54 PM That is an ocean of asphalt.
With a lack of center turn lanes or turn inlets on May or 164th.
OKC Guide 05-31-2023, 05:13 PM With a lack of center turn lanes or turn inlets on May or 164th.
Yep. As someone who lives very near this development, I'm both excited about the new options and terrified of the state of traffic in the area.
Dob Hooligan 05-31-2023, 06:14 PM That is an ocean of asphalt.
I don't see any asphalt. ?
nodor 06-10-2023, 12:42 PM They planted a bunch of trees this weekend close to 164th without any support stakes to hold them up. Unfortunately a large number of them have already fallen over.
nodor 06-18-2023, 04:53 PM Any updates on potential tenants? Seems odd that nothing else has broken ground yet with the homeland nearing completion. I wonder if the development is having a difficult time securing good tenants or if sidecar, hatch etc have backed out?

No, Sidecar, Hatch and Broadway 10 are still going forward.
There is just a massive amount of site work. It will all come together once they get that done.

Plutonic Panda 07-16-2023, 01:05 PM Wow that is a nice bridge and retaining wall. They spent some nice change on that.
Hatch, Sidecar and Broadway 10 should all have some nice rear patios facing that ravine.
corwin1968 07-16-2023, 02:15 PM I drive by there almost daily, but seeing it from the drone perspective is eye opening. I look forward to hearing more announcements of tenants here, as well as at NW 178th & May. I'm hoping for more restaurants and I really hope that brewery ends up happing by Jack Be.

nodor 10-07-2023, 10:34 AM The Homeland signage is up. There is a now hiring sign up along 164th.
Any updates on other tenants for the development?
nodor 10-11-2023, 09:56 PM Looks like Homeland is set to open November 1st.
The Rose Creek Plaza website also now lists Rumble Boxing Gym, Summer Moon Coffee and Edmond Froyo Co as tenants.
They finally filed their building permit applications for the first 3 retail buildings, which will be east of Homeland:

mgharfeh 12-05-2023, 02:59 PM is there where broadway 10, sidecar etc will go?
is there where broadway 10, sidecar etc will go?
No, the will go along 164th between the creek and street.
More renderings for this project.
In the 2nd and 3rd, you can see that Hatch is at the east end of the buildings facing 164th; I believe Sidecar is the 2-level building next to it and Broadway 10 is perhaps between?
The only building permits thus far are for the three buildings to the north end east of Homeland which stretch to near May.

corntortillas 02-02-2024, 04:22 PM wow. looks like a popular place. WhErE Is EvErYoNe GoInG tO PaRk?
scottk 02-02-2024, 08:57 PM Has a Spring Creek vibe. At some point you can guess the City is going to have to address either a dedicated center turn lane on May and 164th and turn curb cuts, or unfortunately add stoplights to both main entrances, already so close to the main intersection of 164th and May.
corwin1968 02-02-2024, 10:31 PM Any hints that a brewery or tap house might go in here? I was disappointed that the one that might have happened a mile North, at NW 178th & May, never happened.
OKCtransplant1 02-03-2024, 06:19 PM I assume this development will collect OKC sales tax?
I assume this development will collect OKC sales tax?
Yes, it is entirely within OKC city limits.
mugofbeer 02-04-2024, 07:44 PM I hope there are no chain fast food restaurants.
nodor 03-27-2024, 07:49 PM They’ve began moving dirt on the section directly east of the Homeland. Any news on tenants or other future development here?

Chisolm Creek is generally bringing in much better brands, especially restaurants. No grocery stores in CC
