Slow moving system entering the region this week. Should see rain chances increase tonight into Tuesday with much cooler temperatures. Highs not even reaching 50 for Tuesday/Wednesday.

Looks like we should rebound toward end of the week. Weekend is looking solid as of now.

No time soon.

There have been several, I think the count was 25, freezes registered at the Mesonet stations already but we haven't seen a state wide freeze.

Amazingly one of those freezes was at Marietta which is south of my farm, near the Arbuckles, where we did not get a freeze thankfully..... Have a lot of new trees and blackberries in the ground that I would like to have a few more weeks to harden off before the first freeze.

According to long-range GFS. First state-wide freeze looks to be around early Thanksgiving week.

Yes storm development location is very close to directly over OKC or just E or W. We should have more accurate picture later this afternoon.

SPC has upgraded risk to Slight Risk across the area, mostly for hail threat.

Tornado Watch is on the way for the area. Storms to develop in the next hour just W of C OK. Conditions exist to favor supercells on initiation. So highest hail and tornado threat will be early.

Cold front just passed C OK. N winds will increase. Thursday morning lows will be near freezing in areas along I-44.

We should see temperatures moderate over the weekend.

Another mild and windy day tomorrow (wednesday). Then front comes through that evening with strong windshift from the north. Minimal precipitation is expected other than mist for C OK, maybe a light rain shower or two. Best rain chances will be across SE OK. Fire danger will continue to be extreme and any ongoing fires will have abrupt shift.

Thanksgiving day looks cold and breezy. However, we will bounce back quickly heading into the weekend with some fantastic mild weather returning.

Snapshot showing rain Wednesday night:

I’d be OK with 70s and 80s all through the winter
