Toby Keith's son and James Vu (La Brasa, Kong's) have bought the old Shack building (303 NW 62nd) and are renovating it into a new Mexican place with a wide tequila selection.

They have already demolished the western half of the structure and are preparing to build a big addition with patio.

As you can see, this will be a bar-first type of place. They will also be adding a parking lot along NW 63rd.

Very cool! Tequila is my liquor of choice and this will be a great upgrade to that area.

After a delay, construction has restarted on this project and they hope to open this summer.

They posted on FB that they are hiring all positions and will be opening soon
