Great news for Stillwater. I really want to try this service out some time. Gotta remember to check fares from there, too, when checking them from OKC.

It’s pretty cool. If you like some random regional airports (I love them) then you’ll be right at home.

Love 'em. I get what you are saying! Last one I went to was La Crosse, WI last fall. Such a great experience. You feel like you're flying charter.

Flint, MI is another great regional airport

I wouldn't be entirely opposed to a small amount of the OKC general fund going toward guaranteeing certain routes for OKC.

is that really necessary? I know Wichita does this but OKC????

I'd only think we'd need to guarantee International service when that becomes a probability not normal hub and major O&D routes. ...

The article is about Stillwater, which is why I put it in this thread. I was just saying, for routes we keep losing, like NY/LA/SF/DC, I wouldn't object to subsidizing to ensure we keep them.

All these routes are coming back starting May.

I understand that. I'm just saying I wouldn't object to a subsidy to ensure they never go away when there are global economic situations that seem to always result in these cuts. I didn't realize that was an option until I saw that article.
