warreng88 05-07-2021, 11:45 AM How are the Argon apartments doing?
mgharfeh 05-07-2021, 11:47 AM This along with a hotel at the pointe will really make the area start to feel more dense
Many times I wonder if new apartments are designed by architects or computers. They certainly don’t look that luxury from the outside.
This may be a good read on why new apartments are so boring, from an architectural standpoint.

I don’t know if any place with that much surface parking can ever feel “dense”. Just my take on things.

+1. Chisholm Creek might have slightly better tenants and higher face rents, but, structurally, it is no different than the average OKC strip mall. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but CC shouldn’t be held out as being dense, walkable or consistent with new urbanist design.
Plutonic Panda 09-07-2021, 12:12 PM There is full on dirt work going here now. This project is underway. I couldn’t get any photos.

Remember there is also a larger development planned right south of here. This area will change so much in the coming years.
jn1780 09-07-2022, 09:29 PM Not the fastest construction project in the world. They have been framing for 4 months now and just now topped out one building.
Zorba 09-07-2022, 09:46 PM Any idea why they wouldn't do these apartments at 5 over 1? After seeing 5 over 1 apartments all over DFW and elsewhere, I have a hard time seeing any regular apartment building as being "Luxury."

I don't think the average tenant in this market would know the difference, so long as the interior finishes are mostly higher end.
And, that is a giant tract of land. I could see 5-1 on a smaller tract, but they have plenty of space to work with there.

we have so much land ... especially in that development ...

mugofbeer 12-18-2022, 04:25 PM Does OKC have any requirements that a small # of units within these huge projects be for "low income?"

Unless the developers ask for public money, there shouldn't be such requirements.

warreng88 01-18-2024, 03:23 PM I drove by this weekend and noticed TV's on and other signs of life. I specifically looked at the units off of Highland Park Blvd. I hope these apartments bring more life to the area and in turn, more development.

I think people have been living in the first building for 2 or 3 months now.

Then you must have noticed how the second-story corner balcony's are drooping downward. I can't unsee it every time I pass them. They took so long to build, lost an employee to being hit on the street, weather delays, and know the construction looks cheap and shoddy.
