mugofbeer 03-19-2021, 10:24 PM Ahh! I wish l could remember where l read someone actually calling this upset!
Snowman 03-20-2021, 04:56 AM Oral Roberts took down #2 seed Ohio State in overtime.
The Big Ten had been mentioned as likely having inflated positions, due to having the strictest covid protocols / least missed games, so while still an upset probably was not as much of a gap as a #2 seat normally would indicate.
dankrutka 03-20-2021, 01:49 PM hey, how about North Texas with the big win? I'm not saying I'm a lucky charm, but schools do better when I'm there:
— My first year as a student at OU they won football and softball national titles
— My first year at Edmond Santa Fe their football team went undefeated (regular season)
— My first year at Westmoore their football team went undefeated
— My first year at Wichita State they went to the Final Four
— While not my first year, now North Texas has won it's first tournament game ever
Coincidence? ;)

I had very little idea who to pick. But I ended up winning the grand prize of a $250 girt card! Why press my luck any farther?

C_M_25 03-21-2021, 08:08 PM The big 12 is dropping like flies. Wonder if we were highly overrated after all?
SEMIweather 03-21-2021, 09:34 PM ORU upsets Florida and becomes the second 15-seed to ever make the Sweet 16.
This has already been one of the craziest tournaments I can remember.
SouthOfTheVillage 03-21-2021, 09:51 PM ORU might just be the best basketball team in the State.

SEMIweather 03-22-2021, 10:22 PM Big 12 is about to go from a 6-0 start to having exactly one team make the Sweet 16.
mugofbeer 04-05-2021, 10:30 PM ...... and one team winning the national championship!
Congrats to Baylor in both women's tourny success and the men's championship!
I also love the fact the finals were between 2 relatively small religious schools in smallish cities.

HangryHippo 04-06-2021, 06:50 AM A religious school that has covered up both rape and murder!
F Baylor.
mugofbeer 04-06-2021, 09:53 PM Wow, l assume you understand Baylor isn't a human being. It's a school - you realize no one in the athletic department or especially the basketball program at that time is still with the school. Let it go.

The lesser of two evils, honestly.
