This is one of those projects that I didn't realize we needed until it was done. The park is so much nicer now. There is so much park space on the river that the riverside is really like one big park, especially when the lower Scissortail is complete and connects the river to the upper park. If we just had a nice pedestrian bridge crossing the river in the bottom of that picture....

A connecting pedestrian bridge to Wiley Post would be a great addition and enhance the natural flow for walkers, runners and bikers. Everything is expensive, yes.

I wish they would do this along the entire river in the urban area, but just right here would be a good place: Build out a boardwalk over the rocks. I understand the rocks are necessary for water calming for the Olympic water sports, but having a place for people to interact with the water would be nice. Leave the rocks where they are, and build it out over the top of them.

Also agree. The bare rocks are not attractive. Should put it on the next MAPS

My favorite part about this is the additional crossovers for the river. It is not the best for walkers or runners but for bikers it is fantastic. Last night the Full Moon Bike Ride used the crossover at Robinson and it seemed to work pretty well with over 100 bike riders. (I think)
